Joshi Wrestlers

Female Professional Wrestling in Japan, called Joshi, has been around for decades and for many years was just as popular as men's professional wresting was in Japan. Since the late-90s the popularity of Joshi has fallen, but there are still a number of Joshi promotions running. Having a complete section for Joshi would be just as time consuming as running the part of Puroresu Central I already do, but I don't want to ignore such a large part of puroresu history. Below I have a number of profiles mostly from the heyday of Joshi to help you learn about some of the more famous wrestlers over the years. This is not a complete list of Joshi wrestlers by any stretch of the imagination, but rather highlights many of the main players from the last 35 years.
