Brief History:
Kawabata and Shiga began teaming as the Pen Pals in 2007 and instantly saw success not only in the ring but also began getting over with the crowd. They took this new wave of popularity to dominate the mid-card, defending their GHC Hardcore Openweight Championship against all comers. They even had a shot at the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship against Akiyama and Rikio, but they would come up short. On November 19th they decided they didn't want to share the Hardcore Openweight Championship anymore and fought for it, with Kawabata winning. After that they would continue to team however well into 2008.
