Brief
History:
Kotaro Suzuki and Ricky
Marvin first teamed together in 2004, forming a young team to take on
the established Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Marufuji and KENTA.
On June 1st, 2004 they would take a shot at the titles but they would
come up short. After years of only occasionally teaming in six man tags,
they formed as a permanent tag team in January of 2007 to try to win
the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship away from the Briscoe Brothers.
They would succeed in winning the titles and would hold them for over
10 months. Along the way they would defeat Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino,
Taiji Ishimori and Rocky Romero, KENTA and Ishimori, Kenichiro Arai
and Taku Iwasa, and Naruki Doi and Genki Horiguchi. They would tie for
2nd in the Nippon TV Cup Jr. Heavyweight Tag League, failing to defeat
the Briscoes on the final night to secure a tie for first. On November
24th they would finally lose the titles to Doi and Yoshino, which was
Doi's third try at the team and Yoshino's second. Marvin would break
his leg early in the match, but would fight on before Suzuki was pinned
by Doi.
Current
Status:
Marvin broke his leg in November of 2007 and it is unknown
once he returns if he and Suzuki will re-join as a tag team.
