Career Highlights in Japan:
Samoa Joe wrestled in Zero-One during 2001 and 2002. He found some success, including wins over Steve Corino and Masato Tanaka, but did not win any titles while wrestling for the promotion. In 2007 he returned to Japan and picked up a victory over Misawa in a tag team match. On October 27th, 2007 he challenged Misawa for the GHC Heavyweight Championship but would fail to pick up the victory after putting up a good fight.
