2005 Recap:
One of the brightest young stars in puroresu, Go Shiosaki had his first
full year wrestling in 2005 and showed a lot of promise and ability.
Teaming with Kobashi, Shiosaki had several matches that are considered
the best in NOAH in 2005, including a tag match against Kensuke Sasaki
and Nakajima. Expect Shiosaki to make a run for a belt in 2006,
as he has shown a tremendous amount of progress thus far.
2006 Recap:
Go Shiosaki had a very short-lived stint in the beginning of 2006, as
on January 11th his jaw was fractured during a match with KENTA. Go
Shiosaki made his return to the ring on June 9th, looking significantly
bigger then when he left. Throughout the course of the year Shiosaki
had singles matches against several big stars (such as Marufuji, Sugiura,
and Morishima), but did not have much success against them. He wrestled
in the Tag Team Tournament with Honda, but they lost in the first round.
Go Shiosaki still has a ways to go to find success in NOAH.
2007 Recap:
Shiosaki continued struggling against the upper tier of NOAH,
having little trouble defeating other mid carders but never picking
up a win against a wrestler above him.At the first Budokan show of 2007,
Shiosaki battled Jun Akiyama but was defeated in just under 15 minutes.
In June, Shiosaki had a close match against Akitoshi Saito but he was
pinned with the Death Brand. On the July 16th Ring of Honor event in
Tokyo, Shiosaki battled Bryan Danielson in a long match that saw Danielson
pick up the victory. On the October Budokan event, Shiosaki was not
only on the winning team but also picked up the pinfall over Ricky Marvin.
