This is going to be the shortest review I ever write, but leave no stone unturned! DDT and Big Japan have a joint two hour show that is used to highlight different matches from the month. Unfortunately half of the DDT show this time aired an event from December, which I am not reviewing, so all we get are two clipped matches from a show in February. What can ya do. Here is the match listing:

- Boxing Match: Gota Ihashi vs. Kengo Mashimo
- HARASHIMA, Makoto Oishi, and Tetsuya Endo vs. Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie, and Toru Owashi

Well this won't take too long.

Gota Ihashi vs. Kengo Mashimo
This is a Boxing Match (a 'worked' Boxing Match). Ihashi punches Mashimo back into the corner to start Round 1 but Mashimo shrugs it off and drops Ihashi with one punch. Ihashi makes it back up before the referee's count but Mashimo punches him against the ropes as Round 1 ends (these are really short rounds or it is a bit clipped). Soon as Round 2 starts Mashimo runs over and hits Ihashi in the face, knocking him down. Ihashi slowly gets back up and meets the 10 Count. Ihashi charges Mashimo but Mashimo puts out his fist and Ihashi runs into it, knocking him to the mat again. Ihashi argues with the referee but the referee hits him to the mat before making Ihashi get back up. Punches by Mashimo but again Ihashi is saved by the bell. Round 3 starts, more punches by Mashimo and Ihashi is knocked to the mat. Ihashi slowly gets back up but only gets to one knee, but the referee re-starts the match anyway. Mashimo knocks Ihashi out again, Ihashi's corner tries to throw in the towel but he is stopped. The referee starts his count again but the referee declares he is ready to fight even though he is still on the mat and that is the end of Round 3. Round 4 starts but Ihashi is still lying on the mat knocked out from the last round. The referee starts the count again really slow but when he reaches "9" the bell rings to signal the end of the round. Mashimo seems unamused and gets a microphone to kvetch about it, it leads to other wrestlers getting in the ring, a woman starts stripping and at some point the match is declared a No Contest.

Match Thoughts: I am sure there is some background that makes this match make more sense but I have no idea what it was. Obviously it was done as comedy, which shouldn't be surprising of course since it is DDT. I chuckled a few times, such as when Ihashi was knocked out for the entire 3rd Round, so there is that anyway. Score: 4.0

HARASHIMA, Makoto Oishi, and Tetsuya Endo vs. Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie, and Toru Owashi
This match is Joined in Progress, with Endo in the ring with Owashi. Endo runs into Owashi but Owashi doesn't go down. He runs into Owashi again with the same result, Owashi goes off the ropes but Endo finally is able to shoulderblock him down. Reverse chinlock by Endo but Owashi gets out of it. Takagi comes in the ring, Takagi throws Endo into the corner and hits an elbow strike followed by a reverse splash. Cover, but it gets a two count. Takagi picks up Endo but Endo slides down his back. Takagi goes off the ropes and he delivers a lariat. Cover, but it gets a two count. Takagi picks up Endo, he goes off the ropes but Endo hits a dropkick. Endo picks up Takagi and throws him into the corner, Endo gets a running start but Takagi drops him onto the apron. Endo goes for a springboard move but Takagi knocks him back and hits a superplex over the ropes to the mat. Takagi tags in Irie, Irie picks up Endo but Endo gets behind Irie and delivers a dropkick. Endo charges Irie in the corner and hits a jumping lariat. Northern Lights Suplex by Endo but it gets a two count. Endo picks up Irie and tries to get him on his shoulders, but Irie gets away. Jumping kick to the head by Endo, he goes up to the top turnbuckle and hits the moonsault. Cover, but Owashi breaks it up. Endo picks up Irie and throws him into the corner, reversed, Owashi hits a lariat and Takagi hits a lariat as well. Double boot to Endo and and he is hit with a triple dropkick. Seated senton by Irie, cover, but Endo gets a shoulder up. Irie picks up Endo and puts him onto his shoulders, but Endo gets away. Endo rebounds out of the corner and hits a reverse DDT onto Irie. Endo tags in Oishi, HARASHIMA comes in the ring as well, they throw Irie into the corner and they both hit running strikes in the corner. Oishi hits a tornado DDT and then HARASHIMA hits a swandive splash. Cover by Oishi, but it gets a two count. Oishi picks up Irie and goes for a chokeslam, Irie blocks it but Oishi hits a hurricanrana for a two count. Takagi runs in and hits a cutter onto Oishi as he comes in the ring but HARASHIMA knocks out Takagi with a high kick. Irie pounces HARASHIMA out of the ring, and then Irie plants Oishi with a swinging side slam. Cover, but it gets a two count. Irie goes off the ropes and levels Oishi with a lariat, cover, but again it gets two. Irie goes up to the top turnbuckle and hits the Flying Sausage, cover, and he picks up the three count. Your winners: Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie, and Toru Owashi

Match Thoughts: Less than half of the match was shown, so we probably missed the beginning 'feeling out' process, amongst other things. The parts that 'made tape' were entertaining, Endo is fun to watch and Irie does a good job at the Fat Man offense. Irie isn't really that big but he is bigger than Oishi and Endo, so he can pull it off without any issues. Too clipped to get a great feel of the match but the parts they showed were solid. Score: N/A

Final Thoughts:

Best Match:   HARASHIMA, Makoto Oishi, and Tetsuya Endo vs. Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie, and Tyro Owashi. Another 'by default' best match, since it was up against a comedy boxing match. But what was shown was fun, good flying around and solid action from Irie. I wish it wasn't so clipped but what was shown was fine. 

MVP:   Shigehiro Irie. Irie had good big man offense and even busted out The Pounce which I haven't seen in awhile. Plus he picked up the win, so he gets the nod. 

Overall:  This DVD also included one match from 2013 which obviously I didn't review, but it would give the event more value. But the two matches that were from 2014, neither one are worth seeing so I couldn't really recommend it for just about anyone. But since this event came with an additional match and half a show for Big Japan, I can't really give it a grade.
