GAINA started his career using his real name, Kazuya Yuasa, in Michinoku Pro. He participated in the Super J Cup 2004, and a few months later he took second place in the NJPW Young Lions Cup. In 2006 GAINA moved to Osaka Pro, where he soon became the top heel of the promotion. GAINA joined the newborn Okinawa Pro in 2008, changing his ring name to Shisaou.
