Career Highlights in Japan:
Steve Austin wrestled in the G1 Climax in 1992, defeating Arn Anderson in the first round but losing to Keiji Mutoh in the second round. In September, Austin challenged Chono for the NWA Heavyweight Championship in New Japan but Chono would come out victorious. Ironically, during the match Austin would botch a sit-down tombstone piledriver, injuring Chono's neck.
