Career Highlights in Japan:
From 1985 to 1987, Barbarian made numorous trips to Japan wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling. He had many battles against Antonio Inoki, but never was able to pick up the clean victory. Barbarian took part in the IWGP League in 1987, which was won by Antonio Inoki. In 1992, The Barbarian wrestled in New Japan in the G1 Climax, but lost in the first round to Shinya Hashimoto. He also wrestled on a few events for Tenryu's WAR promotion. In 1993 he wrestled in New Japan on a number of shows, teaming with Haku while he was in WCW.
