2007 New Japan Recap:
Milano became a constant fixture in Japan during 2007, first being in BLACK and later joining RISE. At the Best of the Super Jr. Tournament, Milano shocked many when he defeated Liger, Tiger Mask, Taguchi, and Inoue on his way to winning the tournament. This gave Milano a chance to wrestle in the G1 Climax, and while he came in last in his bracket he did pick up wins over Yano and Koshinaka. In the G1 Tag League Milano teamed with Goto, and together they came in 3rd place.

2008 Recap:
An officially contracted wrestler for New Japan in 2008, Milano got lost in the mix much of the time as he teetered between being a Jr. Heavyweight and Heavyweight. In the New Japan Cup he lost to Toru Yano in the first round, and he did not take part in the G1 Climax. For much of the summer he feuded off and on with Ishikari, and even though Milano won their matches against each other in the end they ended up teaming together. In the G1 Tag League he teamed with his new friend Taichi Ishikari, but they would come in last place in their block with only a win over Takashi Iizuka and Tomohiro Ishii.
