2005 Recap:
While Morishima did not have the success in 2005 that his former running mate Rikio did, he still won the GHC Tag Team Championship with his new tag team partner Yone when they beat Minoru Suzuki and Naomichi Marufuji on October 28th.  Morishima also picked up a win at the lone Tokyo Dome Show in July.  Still relatively young (by puroresu standards), there is still a lot of time left in Morishima's career to continue improving and to move up the card.

2006 Recap:
Yone and Morishima entered the year the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, but Morishima was mostly focused on his singles career in 2006. On March 5th, Morishima would battle Misawa in one of the best matches of the year, with Misawa barely coming out on top. Later in the year he would defeat Inoue and he also destroyed Shiosaki in December. On June 4th, Yone and Morishima would lose to Kobashi and Honda in their first title defense since returning to Japan from a European Excursion. On September 9th, he would team with his old partner Rikio to defeat Takayama and Sugiura. In November, Morishima and Yone would win the Tag Team Tournament to regain the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. Morishima is on a tear and will get a title shot against Misawa in January.

2007 Recap:
In 2007 Morishima wrestled not only in NOAH but also for Ring of Honor, holding the ROH Heavyweight Championship for eight months. He won the ROH Heavyweight Championship on February 17th against Homicide and didn't lose it until October 17th against Nigel McGuinness. During that time he not only defended the title in America but also Japan, defeating KENTA and KAZMA while in his home country. Morishima challenged Misawa for the GHC Heavyweight Championship in January, but he would fall to an Elbow Smash. He also entered the year as one half of the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship with Yone, but in their first defense they would lose to Akiyama and Rikio. On September 9th he would defeat Akiyama to reach the finals of the tournament to find the next challenger to the GHC Heavyweight Championship, but in the finals he would be defeated by Marufuji. As 2007 ended, Morishima was set once again to take on Misawa in 2008 for the GHC Heavyweight Championship, and this time he hopes to bring home the title.
