Career Highlights in Japan:
For someone that wasn't contracted by New Japan, Rick Rude found a good deal of success in Japan. First, at the 1992 G1 Climax he defeated Super Strong Machine, Shinya Hashimoto, and Kensuke Sasaki before falling to Masahiro Chono in the finals. On May 1st, 1994, Rude would defeat Sting in New Japan but would suffer a back injury in the match, forcing him to retire.
