2005 Recap:
One of the brightest young stars in puroresu, Go Shiozaki had his first full year wrestling in 2005 and showed a lot of promise and ability.  Teaming with Kobashi, Shiozaki had several matches that are considered the best in NOAH in 2005, including a tag match against Kensuke Sasaki and Nakajima.  Expect Shiozaki to make a run for a belt in 2006, as he has shown a tremendous amount of progress thus far.

2006 Recap:
Go Shiozaki had a very short-lived stint in the beginning of 2006, as on January 11th his jaw was fractured during a match with KENTA. Go Shiozaki made his return to the ring on June 9th, looking significantly bigger then when he left. Throughout the course of the year Shiozaki had singles matches against several big stars (such as Marufuji, Sugiura, and Morishima), but did not have much success against them. He wrestled in the Tag Team Tournament with Honda, but they lost in the first round. Go Shiozaki still has a ways to go to find success in NOAH.

2007 Recap:
Shiozaki continued struggling against the upper tier of NOAH, having little trouble defeating other mid carders but never picking up a win against a wrestler above him. At the first Budokan show of 2007, Shiozaki battled Jun Akiyama but was defeated in just under 15 minutes. In June, Shiozaki had a close match against Akitoshi Saito but he was pinned with the Death Brand. On the July 16th Ring of Honor event in Tokyo, Shiozaki battled Bryan Danielson in a long match that saw Danielson pick up the victory. On the October Budokan event, Shiozaki was not only on the winning team but also picked up the pinfall over Ricky Marvin.

2009 Recap:
2009 was a tragic and historic year for Shiozaki as he finally won the GHC Heavyweight Championship but only after his mentor passed away in the ring. The year started very strongly for Shiozaki, as he defeated Takuma Sano, Tamon Honda, Takeshi Rikio, and Bison Smith all in the first two months of the year, and got the pinfall over Milano Collection AT in a match against New Japan. In the G1 Tag League he teamed with Misawa, and the pair won the tournament for Shiozaki's first tournament win. This led to Misawa and Shiozaki getting a title shot against Saito and Bison Smith, but tragedy struck as Misawa suffered an injury during the match on June 13th and passed away. The next day, Shiozaki got a shot at the GHC Heavyweight Championship when Akiyama forfeited the title due to injury, and Shiozaki beat Rikio to win the championship in a very emotional match for Shiozaki. During this, Shiozaki was also participating in the feud against New Japan, and in the summer he picked up a pinfall victory over Kazuchika Okada. After beating Akitoshi Saito in September, Shiozaki lost the GHC Heavyweight Championship to Takashi Sugiura on December 6th.
