After 5 years of amateur wrestling experience, Tigers Mask debuted in Osaka Pro in 2001, with a comedy gimmick inspired to the baseball team “Hanshin Tigers.” At first, Tigers Mask was merely a comedy wrestler, gaining the impressive losing streak record of 121 losses in a row. Starting from 2004, when he won the Osaka Tag Team Title teaming with Billy Ken Kid, his character started to undergo a radical transformation. In 2007 he fully dropped his comedic side and debuted a brand new, much more serious, outfit. Tigers Mask won the Osaka main title in February 2007, defending the belt for 17 months, thus becoming the legitimate ace of the promotion. Tigers Mask also took part to the Fukumen League 2007, losing in the semifinals to Tiger Mask IV. After a career as a face, Tigers Mask suddenly turned heel in October 2008, starting to wear a new black mask.
