Toshima had an impressive debut in Kaientai Dojo in 2002 by defeating Yasu Urano in the final of the K-Metal League. After this unexpected success, he started to slowly raise his position in the K-Dojo ranks. Originally a GET member, Toshima founded a new stable called Gekirin after the end of the GET/RAVE system.
